GU Conservatives set for the new academic year

GU Conservatives set for the new academic year
by admin | August 29th, 2009

With the new University year just a few weeks away, GU Conservatives are ready with a busy programme of social and political events.

The year kicks off on 15th September with the Fresher’s fair, closely followed by a curry night designed for new members to get to know each other.

November sees the highlight of the year with the annual dinner. This year we are being joined by Lord Selkirk of Douglas, Bill Aitkin MSP and a host of Parliamentary candidates. It promises to be a fantastic evening. November will also see the Glasgow NE By-election. GUCA will be campaigning hard to maximise the Tory vote and ensure that the Conservative message of change reaches everyone.

Of course, it is also a general election year. GU Conservatives will be taking campaign teams across Scotland to target seats. Watch this space fr more info!

There will of course be more events throughout the year. Full details will be available on our events page in due course.
