“I am not involved in politics because I want to be a politician; instead, I want to be there to help support our politicians in making the real differences our country deserves.  I believe in a nation of social responsibility rather than state control and that is precisely why I am a Conservative & Unionist.  We need to ensure that our society flourishes as a truly United Kingdom with a free market and its people just as free to make choices about their lives.  It is imperative that we stand up for our precious sovereignty and make sure that we do not succumb to the ever-growing stealth force that is the European Commission – unelected and unwanted, taking away many of the freedoms of which we can be rightly proud.  Margaret Thatcher would have to be my political idol as she made some tremendous contributions to moving our country in a positive direction.
